This worsted weight shawl is worked from the top down, in a shallow triangular shape, and features some simple eyelets and a slightly ruffled applied garter stitch contrasting border.

It comes in three sizes to accomodate varying body types and personal shawl size preferences. I’m personally a 5’ 8” 215 pound human who prefers large squishy shawls. I knit both the small (green sample) and medium (pink sample) and I personally have been wearing the pink/medium one everywhere since it was finished. I’m looking forward to making the large one as well, since I love the larger sizing. The green/small one I made is my favorite because it’s green, my favorite color, but doesn’t get worn as much because it’s smaller than I personally like. So pick a size corresponding with what you’d prefer for your body and style and go from there!

Yarn:
I’ve indicated several different recommended yarns, but really just use what worsted weight yarn you can acquire. I’m including both yardage and skein counts below to help you decide, and just below that is the yarn information for the samples to give you an idea of what worked for me and my testers.

As far as color goes, anything goes! Use a semi solid main and a variegated contrast, or a variegated main and a speckled contrast, or any combination of whatever you like! My testers and I chose lots of different color and dye styles for our shawls and they all worked incredibly well.

Samples:
Green/Orange (Small): MC was Dream in Color Classy w/Cashmere and used nearly exactly two (2) skeins. CC was Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Superwash and used one (1) 50g ball.

Pink/Grey (Medium): Yarn used was Yarn Love Amy March Worsted with the MC of Flamingo using just under three (3) skeins and the CC was Material Girl which I used around 75% of a single skein.

Usage:
Small: MC 400 yards or 2 skeins, CC 110 yards or 1/2 skein.
Medium: MC 600 yards or 3 skeins, CC 160 yards or 1 skein.
Large: MC 800 yards or 4 skeins, CC 190 yards or 1 skein.
