sign ups for the free kal are now closed

the pattern will be available for purchase in april.

this is the sign-up first ever numma numma not-so-musterious mystery KAL.

the swatching clue went out to those who have signed up on sunday, january 22nd. please check your library for the swatching update (detailed instructions regarding how to update a pattern in your library are below).

the first clue will be released through a ravelry pattern update on sunday, february 5th - with five additional clues being released february 12th, 19th, and 26th and march 4th and 11th.

prizes will be awarded for:
(1) first person to finish each clue with posted photo
(2) first to find an error =) (i don’t want to admit i need that one)
(3) most popular completed shawl… we’ll see who gets the most hearts

all KAL participants will get the full and final copy of the pattern free at the end of the KAL. after the KAL, in April 2012, the pattern will be available for purchase.

instructions regarding how to update a pattern in your library:

when a new clue is available, we will post in the kal thread that the update has been released and an “update available” button will appear in your library right beside the pattern.

click the “update pattern” button to get the new, updated file.

when you download it, it will contain the old and new information. for example, when you download swatching instructions, the welcome letter will still be there. when you download the first clue (on February 5th), the welcome letter and swatching instructions will still be there. we are doing this so that late comers can still get all of the information.
