Not Your Grandpa's Worsted Cardigan
Skill level: Beginner/ Intermediate
Please note: This has not been tested on size 4XL. If you are interested in testing one of these sizes, please message me and I can send a copy of the pattern and work through any issues throughout the test.
The Not Your Grandpa’s Worsted Cardigan is a cropped raglan sweater worked seamlessly from the top down, using a worsted weight yarn. It is the sister cardigan to my original Not Your Grandpa’s Cardigan, which is worked up using a sport weight yarn. Stitches for the ribbed band are cast on first and worked back and forth. The neck stitches are then picked up along the band. The cardigan is then worked back and forth with raglan increases every other row. The arm stitches are then held on scrap yarn or a stitch holder while the remaining body is worked. Last, the arm stitches are worked in the round. Buttons are sewn on last.
