This design was just pure joy from beginning to end, starting with the yarn, Northbound Knitting MCN Worsted in this amazing colorway called “Velour”. The unusual ribbing of the funnel neck extends into a very current central lattice pattern flanked by two cables on either side.

The body and the sleeves are knit in reverse Stockinette and the 3/4 sleeves give the sweater a slightly more elegant look but that doesn’t mean it can’t be worn with your favourite pair of jeans.

Note that the explanations are given to knit the sleeves inside out in Stockinette to avoid the purling!

You will need:

Approximately: 578 (657, 765, 855, 991, 1126, 1232) metres / 632 (718, 838, 935, 1084, 1231, 1347) yards of Worsted yarn

A 4.5 mm/US 7 circular needle and DPNs
A 4 mm/US 6 circular needle and DPNs
A 3.75 /US 5 circular needle (for the collar)

Tapestry needle, 10 stitch markers (in different shapes or colours), cable needle, waste yarn

XS (S, M, L, L1, XL, 2XL) = 82 (89, 95, 103, 112, 123, 128) cm / 32.25 (35, 37.5, 40.5, 44.25, 48, 50.5) inches finished circumference at the chest.

GAUGE

18 sts and 25 rows = 4”/10 cm in St st on 4.5 mm/US 7 needle (after blocking)

20 sts and 25 rows = 4”/10 cm in Lattice pattern on 4.5 mm/US 8 needle (after blocking)

Ce pull fut un plaisir à tricoter du début à la fin et le résultat me remplit de joie, en commençant avec cette laine superbe de Northbound Knitting: MCN Worsted dans le coloris “Velour”. Les côtes quelque peu inhabituelles du col se transforment en un point central très actuel encadré par deux torsades de chaque côté.

Le reste du corps et des manches sont en jersey envers et les manches trois quart donnent au pull un air élégant ce qui ne veut pas dire par contre qu’il ne peut pas être porté avec vos jeans préférés!

Les explications pour les manches sont données de façon à les tricoter en jersey endroit.
