Nototoro Paperweight
This friendly little paperweight will keep your desk tidy and keep you company at the same time. He could also be a squishy companion if you don’t add the weight.
Choose a hard wearing wool, and moth proof (like acrylic) if they are an issue as he will be sat around in the open. If he is to be a toy then use a softer more huggable yarn.
This is knit tightly so that the stuffing does not show but you can knit a smaller version with Aran weight wool and dropping to 2.5mm needles or a bigger one with thicker wool and needles.
You will need:
20g - 25g Chunky in any colour (cream/white is traditional)
3mm double pointed needles (or other preferred method of knitting in the round)
Large eyed sewing needle for adding decorations
100g of rice or any other weight. Make sure it is thoroughly contained when put in.
Small circles of white felt for eyes plus a little black wool for pupils.
This is a pattern of my own design. Please do not sell it or the creatures you make from it. Thank you.
