The Notte D’inverno is a pair of two-tone socks, featuring a garter rib pattern. They are worked toe up with long circular needle using the magic loop method. The heel is shaped by German short rows. The socks are knitted in Aran/Bulky weight yarn, which can be knitted quickly and is suitable for beginner sock knitters.

Finished foot circumference: 20 (22.5) cm / 7.75 (8.75)“
Foot length: adjustable, 21 cm / 8.25” for the sample
Leg length to top of heel: adjustable, 10.5 cm / 4.25” for the sample

GAUGE
16 sts × 28 rnds = 10 cm / 4” over stocking stitch in the round, after blocking

MATERIALS
Yarn:
LOPI Hosuband (80% new wool, 20% polyamide; 133 m / 145 yds per 100 g ball).
1 ball of each colorway: Light Grey (Color A) and Dark Mossgreen (Color B)

Needles: 4.5 mm, 80 cm / 32” circular needle or
DPNs
Or needle size to obtain correct gauge
