“Notturno”, an oversized sweater with a comfortable fit, is knit top-down in one piece.
Starting from the neck, increases to shape the yoke are hidden in the small cable pattern that decorates the shoulders.
At the end of the yoke, the front and back are divided to create the arm holes, then back and front are joined again and continuing in the round the oversized body is knit. The stitches for the short sleeves are picked up around the armholes.
All borders are in twisted rib stitch.
A particular color effect is created by using a gradient yarn with very long, gradual color changes.

Sizes:
1 (XS/S), 2 (M/L) and 3 (XL/XXL) to fit bust size 76/86 (96/106, 117/127) cm – 30/34 (38/42, 46/50) in.
Shown in size 2 with bust size 98 cm – 38 ½ in and with 48 cm – 18 ¾ in of positive ease at bust.

Finished measurements:
Neck circumference: 50 (52, 55) cm – 20 (20 ½, 21 ¾) in.
Yoke max circumference: 130 (146, 165) cm – 51 ¼ (57 ½, 65) in.
Length: 58 (63, 70) cm – 22 ¾ (24 ¾, 27 ½) in.
Sleeve length: 5 cm – 2 in.

Yarn and needles:
LAINES DU NORD Poema (Fingering yarn; 100% wool, 570 m – 623 yd / 150 gr – 5.29 oz. skein): 3 skeins (912 958, 1216 m – 998 1048, 1330 yds).
Note: a gradient yarn with long, gradual color changes is used for this sweater. To maintain the particular color effects, it is very important to follow the suggestions given for using the yarn to ensure that the completed sweater in homogeneous in terms of color.
In addition, even though the total amount of yarn used will be much less than the yardage indicated on the label, three ball of yarn are needed in order to maintain the correct order of color changes.
Naturally, if another yarn, without these characteristics is used, these notes may be ignored.
Circular needles:
3 mm – US 2 ½ with a 40 cm – 16 in, 60 cm – 24 in and 80 cm – 32 in cable.
If necessary, please adjust needle size to obtain the specified gauge.
Other:
Tapestry needle and scissors.
2 stitch markers.
1 cable needle.
Waste yarn.
Optional:
Row counter to keep track of rows of the cable stitches.
Paper and pencil to take notes on yarn changes.
An electronic scale.

Gauge:
20 sts and 36 rounds = 10 cm – 4 in in st st (worked in the round and after blocking).

“Notturno” è un maglione dalla linea molto ampia lavorato dall’alto verso il basso in un unico pezzo.
Si incomincia a lavorare dal collo e gli aumenti che modellano lo sprone sono nascosti nel piccolo motivo a trecce che decora le spalle.
Alla fine dello sprone si dividono il davanti e il dietro per creare l’apertura per le braccia.
Il lavoro viene quindi unito nuovamente in tondo, lavorando il corpo dalla linea oversized.
Le maniche sono corte e riprese lungo l’apertura per le braccia.
Tutti i bordi sono lavorati a coste ritorte.
L’effetto particolare del colore è creato usando un filato sfumato dal cambio di colore molto lento e graduale.

Taglie:
1 (XS/S), 2 (M/L) e 3 (XL/XXL) vestono un giro seno di 76/86 (96/106, 117/127) cm.
Le foto si riferiscono alla taglia 2 indossata da una modella con un giro seno di 98 cm e con un agio di 48 cm.

Misure finite:
Circonferenza del collo: 50 (52, 55) cm.
Circonferenza massima dello sprone: 130 (146, 165) cm.
Lunghezza: 58 (63, 70) cm.
Lunghezza delle maniche: 5 cm.

Filato e aghi:
LAINES DU NORD Poema (100% lana, 570 m per gomitolo da 150 gr): 3 gomitoli (912 958, 1216 m).
Attenzione: il filato adoperato per la realizzazione di questo maglione è un filato sfumato, che presenta un cambio di colore molto lento e graduale. Per rispettare questa particolarità è molto importante prestare grande attenzione alle note per l’uso del filato, che aiuteranno a dare un effetto finale omogeneo.
Inoltre, anche se il consumo effettivo del filato è molto inferiore al metraggio dei gomitoli, il numero di questi ultimi deve essere comunque tre per rispettare la successione del cambio di colore.
Naturalmente, se si usa un filato che non ha queste caratteristiche, queste note possono essere ignorate.
Ferri circolari numero 3 mm con cavo da 40 cm, 60 cm e 80 cm.
Se necessario modificare il numero dei ferri per ottenere il campione corretto.
