Noughts is a square motif designed for the 2018 Friends Around the World CAL. It has texture and works well in one or more colours - the samples shown each use 2 colours.

It was designed for aran weight yarn but any weight could be used.
The aran weight yarn used in the sample is Find me Knitting, Mary - 100g/210m per cake. Using a 5mm hook, the finished size is 30cm/12” square but it is a flexible design where you can add or remove rounds to get the size you want.

A sample was made in DK yarn, in this case Yarns from the Plain Plumley 100g/200m per skein and NDS Godiva DK 100g/220m per skein, both single spun merino yarns. A 4mm hook was used for this square and the resultant size was 25cm/10” square.

There are 2 patterns on the file - one in UK terms and one in US terms - please make sure you select the correct version.
