The NOVA socks are part of the NOVA series I designed for The Fibre Co’s Yarns.
After SUPERNOVA cardigan, NOVA hat and NOVA shawl, they are the latest pattern in the beautiful and fun-to-make Moving Broken Rib Stitch using the beautiful luxurious sock yarn Amble.
The socks are worked top down using the shadow wrap heel method and a round toe.
The structured pattern suits a solid or subtly variegated sock yarn. We love to see your knits on social media. Please use #NOVAsocks and #ivnknit

SIZES

To fit leg/foot circumference: approximately 7.5 / 8.5 / 9.5 inches (19 / 21.5 / 24 cm)
Suggested foot lengths to fit shoe sizes (pattern is customizable in length):

NEEDLES
Circular needles or DPNs to obtain gauge; recommended needle size 2,5 mm (US 1.5)

GAUGE
32 sts x 40 rds = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches) in stockinette stitch, blocked
34 sts x 40 rds = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches) in Moving Broken Rib, blocked ( see Rds 1-4 of leg instructions)

YARN/YARDAGE
100 g of sock yarn / fingering weight yarn (around 400 m / 440 yds per 100 g)

Die NOVA socks sind Teil der NOVA-Serie.
Nach dem SUPERNOVA cardigan, NOVA hat und dem NOVA shawl, sind sie die neuste Anleitung in dem eingängigen Moving-Broken-Rib-Muster. Die Socken werden vom Bündchen zur Spitze gearbeitet, mit einer Ferse nach der Shadow-Wrap-Methode und einer Sternspitze als Abschluss.
