Out of the darkness and into the light! NOVALJA is a new interpretation of the classic Nordic circular yoke colorwork sweater. The stylish gradient color blocking and the colorwork motif which evokes an association of snow crystals, shimmering in the first light of the day, is fun to knit and the resulting lightweight sweater will be comfortable to wear. NOVALJA will your new favorite piece in your wardrobe!

The sweater begins with a cowl neck – knitted in the round and inside-out to display the effect of the broken rib pattern when the neck is folded down. The sweater is worked in one piece, with a gradually increasing circular yoke. Stranded colorwork technique is used for the yoke motif. Short row shaping is added at the back of the sweater to shape the shoulders and the neckline. Gentle waist shaping makes for a flattering, feminine fit. A split hem, with a slightly longer back, completes the body. Sleeves are knitted top-down in rounds.
