I am a big lover of simple clothing, and this classic circular yoke sweater is exactly that. Novel combines all my favorites: simplicity, a comfy fit and a just a little bit of colorwork in subtle colors.
PATTERN NOTES:
The sweater is worked using a hybrid construction. It starts with a provisional CO at the lower part of the yoke and is worked bottom-up toward the neckline. The yoke is worked in a combination of raglan and circular yoke decreases.
The live stitches are then picked up for body and sleeves, and the sweater is finished top-down.
This construction technique allows more freedom for modifications and is easier to adjust if something doesn´t work well for your body shape.
The pattern also provides some helpful tips and suggestions on how you can adjust it to suit your own preferences.
SIZES:
1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9)
to fit chest circumference 75 (85, 95, 105, 115) (125, 135,
145, 155) cm/30 (34, 38, 42, 46) (50, 54, 58, 62)“
I recommend choosing a size with 0-10 cm/0-4” positive ease at the chest for a comfortable fit. The sample shown is size 2, worn with approx. 5 cm/2” positive ease on a 91/36½“ chest.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:
Chest circumference: 85.5 (96, 105.5, 115, 125.5) (135, 145.5, 154, 164.5) cm/34¼ (38½, 42¼, 46, 50¼) (54, 58¼, 61½, 65¾)“.
More detailed measurements are shown in the schematic in photos.

NEEDLES:
4.0 mm/US6 circular needle (100 cm/40”, 80 cm/32” and 60 cm/24”) or size needed for gauge.
3.5 mm/US 4 circular needle (80 cm/32” and 60 cm/24”) or one size smaller than gauge needle.
GAUGE:
21 sts and 32 rounds in 10 cm/4” on larger needle for stockinette, and 21 sts and 25 rounds in 10 cm/4” for colorwork, worked in the round (blocked).
Row gauge is especially important for this design, since it defines the yoke depth and therefore the fit around the shoulders.
