This sock was designed for the November Yarnbox and inspired by a skein of Brew City Yarns Premium Draft Sock Yarn, in colorway “Once More with Feeling”, which resembles a beautiful autumn color phenomenon. This phenomenon affects the normally green leaves of many trees and shrubs in the autumn season, where they change from various shades of red, yellow, purple, black, orange, pink, magenta, blue and brown. This toe-up sock is designed specifically for this variegated yarn that showcases a stitch definition resembling leaves and the foliage of fall.
The pattern is written for DPNs referring to Needles 1-4. You can accommodate it for Magic Loop or 2 circulars.
NOTIONS: Stitch marker to mark the beginning of the round, A tapestry needle for weaving ends.
PATTERN STYLE: The pattern contains written as well as chart instructions. There is a key and full abbreviation list included as well.
DIFFICULTY: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate: increases, decreases, and sock construction.
YARN: This pattern was designed to show off the beautiful colors in variegated yarn. Certainly solid or lightly tonal yarn would show excellent stitch definition.
