Noyo Harbor
From the Virtual Yarns website: “Noyo Harbour is worked in Hebridean 3 Ply on 4.5mm needles with a tension of 21 sts and 32 rows to 10cm worked over Sand Stitch. The sweater has a lighter, more intricate look with a slimmer and slightly shorter silhouette than the original. Amended measurements are shown in the detail. Revised tension, minor adjustments and schematic are included with the yarn.”
Summary: The original Noyo Harbour is a round-neck, drop shoulder, hip-length sweater featuring an overall Sand stitch pattern with a textured yoke section of radiating chevron appearance, framed by cable bands. The hemline, cuffs and neck are worked in stockinette stitch then ribbing, giving a slight roll to these edges. The body is knit in separate pieces to be joined in the finishing stages. The sleeves are worked from the cuff upwards, then attached to the body using the 3-needle bind-off technigue after picking-up the necessary stitches from the body sections.
Skills needed : cable knitting, pick-up stitches, increase and decrease in pattern and 3-needle bind-off..
