I was drawn to the color of the homespun cakes. I used two cakes for this.

This is a very textured/nubby yarn, so we will be using a larger hook and a simple design. The very first row will be your most difficult. It is sometimes not easy finding your stitch in this yarn. Once you get past this first row you will be able to do this. The nubby texture of the homespun yarn, is what makes this! If you substitute for a non-textured yarn, this would be a very plain stitch pattern.
