Numisma Sweater
Numisma is a loose-fitting raglan pullover worked in the round from the bottom up. A simple cable motif (which can be worked without a cable needle) decorates the front and back of the yoke. There are two small underarm seams, a button closure at the back of the neck, and directions are included for an optional belt.
Yarn: You will need approximately 330 yards of a soft worsted-weight wool in a solid colorway for best results. (Pictured: Elann Peruvian Highland Wool in Forest Glade Heather – worsted, 3 skeins / 150g / 327 yards, 100% wool)
Supplies:
- US size 8 16” needle
- 4 US size 8 double-pointed needles
- US size 8 cable needle or other cabling method of your choice
- stitch holders or waste yarn
- stitch marker
- 1” button
- needle and thread
- tapestry needle
Sizing: Finished sweater will measure approximately 25” at the waist and approximately 11” from the neck to the hem. It is sized to fit an 18-to-24-month-old child with approximately 4 inches of ease in the torso. The optional belt allows the sweater to be cinched in at the waist if desired. For more detailed measurements, see the schematic at the end of the pattern.
