Nurma is a delicate warm hat that features a 1 x 1 ribbing to make it stretchy and comfortable. Knit stitches cross over while maintaining the ribbing feature, it may need some practice to learn the crossovers but once they’re mastered, knitting becomes a real pleasure.

The hat was created after I discovered that the alpaca yarn I’ve got does not look any good in regular knitting, no matter how much I tried, the stitches still looked totally uneven. The solution turned out to be twisted knit stitches all over right side, not only did they eliminate the problem but also created a very interesting texture.

Size: The pattern is written in six sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL, to fit head circumference of approx. 18 (19 ½, 21, 22 ½, 24, 25 ½)’’ / 45,5 (49, 53, 57, 60,5, 64,5) cm. The hat can be as deep as you choose, either a beanie or a slouch.
The size can also be adjusted by going up or down a needle size, or by changing the yarn weight and adjusting the needles accordingly.

Level: intermediate, the hat is knit in the round and the crossovers require some practice in more complicated stitches.

Yarn suggested: DK that meets the gauge, 50 – 80g. My hat is done in Garnstudio Drops Puna (100% alpaca, 50g = 120 yards / 110m), I did size M and used up a skein and a half. Lighter colours will show the pattern off better.

Nurma to ciepła czapka z delikatnym wzorem na bazie ściągacza 1 x 1, dzięki czemu idealnie trzyma się głowy i świetnie nosi.

Najtrudniejszym elementem wzoru są dwa rodzaje krzyżowania oczek, po ich opanowaniu dzierganie staje się intuicyjne i relaksujące.

Wymyśliłam tę czapkę z bardzo konkretnego powodu. Okazało się mianowicie, że pomimo wysiłków nie potrafię wydziergać równych oczek z Puny Dropsa. A że włóczka piękna – nie miałam serca tak po prostu jej odłożyć, i wymyśliłam oczka przekręcone. Zadziałało – wszystkie oczka równiutkie, do tego dzianina nabrała całkiem nowego wyrazu i głębi.

Rozmiar: wzór jest rozpisany na 6 rozmiarów: XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL tak, żeby pasowały na obwód głowy 45,5 (49, 53, 57, 60,5, 64,5) cm. Czapkę można wydziergać dowolnie głęboką – moja Nurma jest w wersji pośredniej między dopasowaną i krasnalką.
Rozmiar można też dostosować wybierając grubszą lub cieńszą włóczkę oraz zmieniając rozmiar drutów.

Poziom zaawansowania: średni - czapka jest dziergana na okrągło. Krzyżowanie oczek wymaga pewnej wprawy w dzierganiu.

Sugerowana włóczka: każda, która pozwoli otrzymać podaną próbkę. W zależności od rozmiaru 60 – 90g. Moja Nurma (rozmiar M) powstała z Puny Dropsa (100% alpaka, 50g = 110m), zużyłam na nią półtora motka.
