I used DK yarn but any yarn can be used just make sure you use needles that suit the yarn or one size bigger.

Yardage is approximate as it all depends how long you want the shawl to be.

I wanted the shawl to be around 24 inches wide and will work it so it as along as I need it to be aproximately 60 inches before starting the lace pattern again.

If you cast on an odd number of stitches you will always start 1-3 and 6-8 with K3 P3 the same applies to the main body of the shawl.

I used the pattern found at the Shawl Ministry and added my own lace pattern at both ends making the shawl extra special.
