Nuuk Sweater
INTRODUCTION
The Nuuk Sweater is worked from the top down entirely in the round on a circular needle. The ribbing is worked with short rows, and the round yoke is shaped with increases in the pattern. You can work the lace pattern in the yoke either from the text or the chart, depending on which method suits you best.
There are links to relevant videos during the pattern.
For this sweater you use the following techniques:
• Tubular cast-on. (You may choose to make the tubular cast-on with waste yarn. It is a lot easier than you think.)
• German short rows to shape the back of the neck. This is the only place in the pattern where you knit back and forth. Everything else is worked in the round.
• The lace pattern in the yoke is shaped by YO’s and knitting sts together. Described in chart and in text.
• The body and the sleeves are worked round in st.st.
• There is ribbing on body and sleeves.
• Finish the sweater with double knitting and tubular bind off
