This is an easily-adaptable hat pattern with a folded brim for a medium-weight yarn -- great for one skein of yarn you don’t know what to do with, or my new favorite, using handspun!

It’s worked entirely in 1x1 rib, and I mostly wrote this pattern because I’m sick of not having a pattern to reference when I’m adding to Rav. Maybe you’ll get some use out of it, too!

Skills:

  • Twisted German Cast On
  • Knitting, Purling
  • Decreasing

Needles: As written, use a 16” US 5/3.75mm needle (or whatever you need to get gauge), AND a corresponding needle to knit small circumference (magic loop, DPN, 2 circulars).
