Oaklyn is a sweet little owl who loves the outdoors and the beauty of nature in its many facets. She will always keep herself on her toes. She has the eagerness for knowledge and an intense desire to do something worthwhile in life. She is clever, imaginative and analytical. Her amazing cuteness attracts all. This is an Easter egg variation.

This pattern is written in US crochet terminology.

Finished size: 2.5” tall by 2” wide

Skills level: Adventurous Beginner/Intermediate

Skills required:
Magic Ring
SingleCrochet
Increase a stitch
Decrease a stitch (invisible decrease)

Cotton Yarn: Glossy Mellow Cotton (by White Rose) as colour A and colour B. Yarn width 0.75cm. 4ply, 100% Mercerised Cotton.
Yardage approx 100-110m (109-120 yards) per 50gm ball.

Total yardage required for cotton yarn: Colour A - 18m (19.6yards) and Colour B - 5.5m (6 yards)

Similar structure yarns that can be Light Fingering weight yarns (20 WPI)
Note: Use any two contrasting shades of yarn from your stash as Shade A and Shade B, but make sure they have same WPI thickness.

Embroidery threads in white, black and green for the eyes and yellow for the beak (Similar to lace fingering threads).

Hook sizes: 2.25mm or US B/1 and thread hook of 1.5mm or US 8 (for eyes & beak)

Gauge for cotton yarns (in Sc st): 1”= 7 sts and 8 rows
CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.

Other Materials:
Stitch marker, Yarn needle/Tapestry/Darning Needle, Scissors, Fiberfill for stuffing.
