About:
This is a simple hat pattern with a lovely texture of seed stitch and a faux cable pattern running up the hat, meaning no cable needle is required. It has been designed with simple increases and decreases to give it an interesting fabric. This hat pattern has a lovely memorable pattern which makes you want to knit into oblivion. Worked in DK/8ply yarn, the pattern is both written and charted for working in the round in 5 sizes, from infant to a large adult.

Recommended yarn:
DK / 8ply weight 100% Merino wool. The sample shown was knitted in Skeinz Albertine Merino. I recommend using a solid colour yarn that has good stitch definition. Avoid yarns that have a halo, or colour variegation as the pattern detailing can get lost.

Gauge:
Knit in the round, in charted pattern, 22 stitches x 30 rounds = 10cm/4” (4mm/US6 needles).

Meterage: Approximately.
If you are working a double, folded over brim, add approximately 20% extra yarn to the meterage below.
Infant: 80m/87.5y Adult: 126m / 138y
Toddler: 85m /93y Adult L: 150m / 164y
