Equivalent to approximately cup sizes A - B - C/D.

Instructions: Crocheted in 2 parts (2 mosaic triangles) which are then crocheted together.

Hook Size: 4 mm (or the size needed to achieve the gauge)

Yarn:

  • Drops Muskat (100% cotton) 50 g / 100 m from Drops Garnstudio (Drops Design).
  • Alternative yarn: Line (53% cotton, 33% viscose, 14% linen), 50 g / 110 m from Sandnes Garn. Or Drops Belle (53% cotton, 33% viscose, 14% linen) from Drops Garnstudio, or another DK/light worsted 8 ply yarn (weight 3), but ensure it is a yarn that is soft and comfortable against the skin.

Gauge:
14/15 stitches in rows of 1 sc, 1 hdc in next st, and only hdc on the wrong side = approx. 10 cm length

I personally find this bikini top very comfortable, as it doesn’t tie around the neck, which I often find uncomfortable and painful. I think this is comfortable for the shoulders, as the straps here are wider than the ties on the back. Additionally, the “band” under the bust is also wide, which I also find comfortable. But to each their own ;-).
This is a quick project with various stitch techniques that I find very fun, and you might learn something new here. The stitches used are chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, front post double crochet, and front post treble crochet.
You can play with colors here, and it’s a great chance to use scrap yarn. The color combinations are many :-).
