Welcome to the Ocean Tide Blanket! This pattern is fairly simple and creates such a beautiful effect. When I designed this pattern, I felt very inspired by the natural environment around me, the Northern California coast, and the simultaneous power and gentleness of the ocean tide. The way the colors overlap and flow together in this blanket reminds me of the feeling of swimming in the ocean and feeling the waves crash on me as the next one pulls me back. I had so much fun experimenting with color in this blanket and using art to connect to the world around me. You can use almost any yarn and hook you like for your project. I used Lionbrand Mandala yarn and a 4.00 mm hook.

The nature of this pattern allows you to play around with color. I had so much fun experimenting with the overlapping pattern to create something new. You can plan out your colors or follow your heart as you go. (I like to do both!)
