Manos Del Uruguay Alegria is really beautiful yarn, soft, easy to knit with and the colors are unique and very special. I got the idea for my socks after a short trip to the Oregon coast. The blues and beiges and whites remind me of the strong Pacific Ocean waves. I just love the color work while the cable stitch pattern follows the shape of the powerful waves, both airy and solid.

Note: The main pattern cables maintain a tighter gauge compared to foot and cuff. Use large size needles when knitting the length of sock after the cuff and before heel flap. User smaller size needles when knitting the cuff and foot of sock.
