Oceans Deep Shawlette
Oceans Deep is knit from the bottom up, starting with a ripple lace edging. It is crescent shaped, which allows the piece to drape nicely around the neck and shoulders. I used Malabriogos Arroyo Merino Wool Superwash DK Yarn in the Aguas shade (2 skeins of 335 yards each) and about 100 yards of Madelinetosh’s Tosh Merino DK Yarn in the shade of Forestry for the contrasting color in the ripple border. The shawlette body is worked after the border in an Ocean Lace Stitch using short rows to create the crescent shape. The finished shawlette is just under six feet in length, and is 22 ½ inches wide at its deepest center point. A chart for the short row section only and full written instructions for the whole shawlette are included in this pattern
