The Oceanside Beanie is named for its lovely, scalloped texture, similar to seashells on the shore. The Beanie is made using Category 4 (worsted weight) yarn, and requires only knitting, purling, and basic lacework. The pattern features a ribbed edge with a main section of scalloped lacework. Instructions for the scalloped section are given in both written and chart form, and a round tracker is included to help you mark off the repeats of the scalloped pattern.

The pattern is written for three sizes: Baby (head circumference 17”/43 cm), Toddler/Child (19”/48 cm), and Adult (22”/56 cm).

Skills required: knitting, purling, basic lacework (yarn over), basic decrease stitches
