When I saw this yarn at JoAnn Fabrics I knew I had to make something with it. I loved the colors and that it was a self striping yarn. The yarn was so soft that I knew I wanted to make something that would be worn against the skin. I also wanted the stitch pattern to be simple so as to not draw attention away from the beautiful yarn. I decided I wanted to make a simple ribbed hat and I named it October because the colors of the yarn remind me of the changing colors of leaves and grass in the fall.
