October Moon
October Moon socks are perfect for autumn, but I do wear mine year-round. They’re too much fun not to! I created these specifically with speckled yarn in mind for the main color, with the colorwork bats blending into the background here and there. The socks will look equally good on a solid background, too.
Materials
Yarn:
MC: 1 skein of iKKe BFL Sock (75% Bluefaced Leicester, 25% nylon; 425 m / 465 yds per 100 g);
CC: 1 skein of Lanitium ex Machina BFL Sock Twist (80% Bluefaced Leicester; 20% nylon; 366 m / 400 yds per 100 g)
or approximately 210 (225, 240) m / 230 (245, 260) yds of fingering weight sock yarn for MC and 92 (98, 104) m / 100 (107, 114) yds of CC
Needles: 2 mm / US 0 dpns (or circular needles for magic loop) or size needed to obtain gauge
2 stitch markers
The sample was knit using iKKe BFL Sock in Euphoria and Lanitium ex Machina BFL Sock Twist in Corner of No and Where.
The pink pair was knit with Baerenwolle Baerfoot Sock in Baby Girl and Lanitium ex Machina BFL Sock Twist in Diaboligal Master of Disguise.

34 sts x 46 rnds = 10 cm / 4” in stockinette stitch knit in the round, after blocking.
