October Sky
October is my favorite month. Time for cozy hats, sweaters and scarves, for hot mugs of cider and tea, for stacks of books and fireplaces to read them by. With the cold darkness that November brings, I’m looking back on how beautiful the first month of fall truly is. The air changes, the light changes, everything feels and smells different. The warm hues of changing leaves dance in contrast to the cool crisp air. The soft glow of the yellow and orange trees plays against the bright blue sky. October will always be my favorite.
The lushly-cabled October Sky Scarf glows in hand-painted limited edition worsted Ranch 01 by Brooklyn Tweed. For the best result, I recommend choosing a lightweight woolen-spun yarn.
The simple cables are easy to memorize and intuitive to knit, with plenty of rest rows between the cable crosses. The “wrong” side of this cable pattern is as beautiful as the “right” side.
Please note: instructions for this pattern are charted only.
