The weather in October is always surprising. One day, it’s midsummer warm and the next a twist of cold air shakes the browning leaves to the ground. These gorgeous socks, worked toe-up and featuring a mirrored twisted stitch motif, help you “step” cozily into the season.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Foot Circumference: 7 (8, 9)“ / 17.5 (20, 23) cm
Choose the size that is 1-2” / 2.5-5 cm smaller than actual foot circumference.
Foot Length: Adjustable
To figure out the length of foot, use the rnd gauge to calculate the number of rnds needed for your foot length and subtract 1 ¾ (2, 2 ¼)” / 4.5 (5, 6) cm for the heel, or try your sock on as you go!

YARN
1 skein SweetGeorgia Yarns Mohair Silk Sock in Dreamboat
(437 yds/ 400 m per 3.5 oz/ 100g; 50% Superwash Merino Wool, 15% Silk, 15% Mohair, 20% Nylon).

NEEDLES & NOTIONS
Size 1 US / 2.25 mm needles: for magic loop, 32” /80 cm circular; for two needles, (2) 24” / 60 cm circulars; or set of double-pointed needles (dpns)
Adjust needle size if necessary, to obtain the correct gauge.
Tapestry needle, 3 stitch markers

GAUGE
32 sts and 48 rnds = 4”/ 10 cm in Stockinette st, after blocking.
Please note that changes in gauge will affect yardage used and final measurements.

PATTERN NOTES
These socks are worked in the rnd from the toe up. They are mirrored images of each other, so the instructions are broken up for the right and left socks.
The stitch pattern is both written (Stitches Used) and charted (p 5) for your preference. The pattern directions begin on p 3.
