Octopus
This is a simple octopus pattern which is done in one continuous spiral. There is very minimal sewing involved. There is a bonus variant for a takoyaki themed octopus!

Skill level: Beginner to Intermediate
Approx. finished size / Recommended Hook & Yarn / Eyes:
Measurements are based on just the octopi body and does not include the tentacles.
Small (2.5”) - No. 4 / 1.25mm US and 0.6mm US with Size 10 Crochet thread / Miyuki beads, 5-6mm shank buttons or 5-6mm safety eyes
Large (5”) - F / 3.75mm US and 1mm US with Worsted Weight yarn / 10-12mm shank buttons or 10-12mm safety eyes
Gauge is not that important. Just be sure to use a hook that will allow you to have tight stitches with the yarn or thread that you plan to use.
