A free version is also available.

This is the pattern for a octopus appliqué. I do have this pattern available for free on my website if you would prefer that option. The link is down below, but I’ve made it available for people to download as well for $1 on Ravelry.
There is also a video tutorial for the pattern available on my YouTube channel at Crochet Octopus Tutorial.
I’ve used 2 ply cotton and a 1mm crochet hook but you can use different sizes depending on what you’re most comfortable with.
-
Any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona crochet cotton colours (105) Bridal White, (201) Electric Blue for the spots if desired and a tiny bit of (404) English Tea for the outer eyes or you could use the Bridal White.
-
A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook.
-
A darning needle to weave in ends.
-
Scissors.
-
Sewing thread and a needle to stitch the octopus together.
-
Some black thread for the eye markings if desired.
