Octopuses or Octopi (apparently both are correct) are all the rage lately, and this pattern is a fun take on a trendy idea. Using 3 different thicknesses of yarn and three different sixed hooks, this pattern appropriate for new crocheters.
This is a no-sew pattern that works up quickly, no matter the size you choose.
As with many patterns, it is easy to adjust the look and size of your octopus even more using different yarn weights with a compatible hook.

Approximate Sizes:
Small: 2” high and 5 ½” wide
Medium: 3” high and 9” wide
Large: 3 1/2 “high and 10” wide

Materials Needed:
4 mm (US size
6.5 mm (US size
8 mm (US size L) crochet hook
Scraps of yarn: worsted (4 weight) for small, bulky (5 weight) for medium and super bulky (6 weight) for large.
Stitch marker, if desired
Tapestry needle to gather last few stitches and weave in ends
