This coat was designed for my old Parson Russell Terrier.
He truly enjoyed it and it helped a lot on cold days to get him out for a walk that lengthened his little life.
As he was nearly deaf and blind the red coat helped us to find him in the snow when he sometimes got too far from us .. ;)

It has a turtle neck and buttons at the side of the belly to open and close when putting on and taking off.
So his stiff old legs need not to be squeezed into narrow sleeves.
I recommend to knit tightly to avoid the coat growing too much when it becomes humid on a walk in rain and snow.

Das war das rote Mäntelchen für meinen alten Parson Russell Terrier.
Er hat ihn tatsächlich gerne getragen, kaum zu glauben bei eimem PRT. :))

Damit die steifen Beine nicht in enge Ärmel gezwängt werden müssen, kann der Mantel unten am Bauch geknöpft werden.
Der Mantel wird sehr fest gestrickt, damit er nicht ausleiert, wenn es feucht ist.
