This cowl can be knitted in any weight yarn, although solid colours show the stitch pattern better than variegated ones. I used about 55g of a DK weight yarn for mine which measures 20 cm wide / deep and about 46 cm all round.

The fun thing about this pattern is the twisted stitch pattern which calls for two different sized needles to be used at the same time, one about five sizes bigger than the other. The resulting fabric has lines of twisted knots spaced out with small eyelets.
