Oddly Linked Blanket
This is an easy-intermediate level pattern; there is one tricky part to learning the special stitch, but many pictures are included to help clarify the instructions. Once the stitch is mastered, the blanket works up quickly!
Yardage depends entirely on the size of blanket you wish to make. A baby blanket will take roughly 4 balls of Bernat Satin (about 650 yards). Larger blankets will require more yarn (more details on this will be available soon)
This pattern works up nicely in a variety of yarns, but best results are found using smooth yarn (as opposed to wavy, boucle, or eyelash yarns). Solid coloured yarn, changing colours every two rows, looks lovely. A variegated yarn may work, but I believe one with long colour changes would work best.
