Ode to Autumn
Pay What Works: In an effort to find a balance between more financial accessibility and sustainable pricing, I now offer a “Pay What Works” model. This allows for financial flexibility while still valuing and respecting the work and energy I and others provide in the making of this pattern. The price shown on Ravelry is the “true” value of the pattern that best reflects the work put into creating this design.
To purchase the pattern at a price point that is more accessible to you, use the coupon code at checkout listed next to the price point. The prices indicate the price you will pay, not the discount amount. No coupon code is needed for the highest price point.

I see falling leaves,
And hear them crunching beneath,
A crisp wind blows through.
A shawl in honor of my favorite season, Autumn. The colors during this time are of such exquisite shades of reds, yellows and oranges. Leaves are falling from trees in spades and make one of the most possibly satisfactory sounds when you’re lucky to find an extra crunchy one. And when you find yourself in a flurry of leaves, it becomes quite a magical (though possibly startling) moment.
Wanting to capture such a moment in a shawl served as inspiration for the design. An intricate, feminine and hard-to-put-down lace pattern resembling falling leaves, is worked through out. Adding to the spirit of the season, the lace body is worked in the Artyarns Merino Cloud Gradient set. The nature of gradients perfectly reflects the colors of the season and the yarn is of such luxury that you just can’t wait to wrap yourself up in it.
Light as a feather, delightfully cozy, sophisticated and divine, this eye-catching shawl has the spirit of autumn woven into its stitches.
Needle: US size 5 (3.75mm), 32” (80cm) circular needle. A circular needle is recommended in order to accommodate large number of stitches.
Yarns Used: Artyarns Merino Cloud Gradients (Fingering / 4 ply; 80% Merino, 20% Cashmere goat; 540 yards) and Artyarns Merino Cloud (Fingering / 4 ply; 80% Merino, 20% Cashmere; 436 yards / 100 grams).
Yardage: 540 yards for the Gradient yarn (135 yards per hank; 4 hanks total); 210-250 yards in solid color.
Gauge: 24 sts and 40 rows = 4”/10cm. Varying gauges will affect yardage and final measurements.
Other Notions: Stitch markers, darning needle
Final Measurements: Varies by gauge and how aggressively the shawl is blocked. Length 58”, depth 18”, edge 32”.
