'Ode to the butterfly
This pattern idea had been smouldering in my mind for awhile and it took some work to get it out in the form I wanted but I am very happy with the result. The yarn it was made in was delightful to work with, it didn’t split and it has a wonderful drape and yet it is so floaty at the same time. If you choose to use a silk, it can be very slippery making it easy to drop stitches and difficult to contain the problem so I suggest using life lines.
Warning: this is a intermediate pattern for intermediate knitters, if you have never knit lace before or read a chart this is NOT where you want to start. Also this pattern does require rigorous blocking.
