Odessa Tee
Worked flat from the bottom up in pieces this t-shirt is seamed to add structure in the flowing yarn and lace stitch pattern. Bands of texture and lace loop over each other in beautiful swooping Adventure Cables that create a dramatic all over pattern. The wide neck and dolman sleeves on this pullover tee have simple shaping for a striking silhouette that allows the stitch pattern to really shine.
Since we are at adventure camp, it seemed like a t-shirt was an inevitable addition, but the goal was to make a t-shirt worthy of the gorgeous human I was designing it for- that’s you! I really wanted to emphasize the lace inside the crossing stitches in this stitch motif and so I chose very linear patterns that visually read as vertical columns. One column is a vertical eyelet pattern all the way up, while the other is similar but different creating thick and thin movement in the columns. The patterning will always remind me of gently curling smoke tendrils from a barely burning fire that twist over and around other into the air.

Pattern Notes
This tee is worked in two pieces from the bottom up, the sleeves are created by casting on stitches to either side of the lower body and working them at the same time as the front or back respectively. The front and back are seamed to each other at the sides, underarms and shoulders. It is essential to wet-block your swatches to determine gauge and wet block the final piece to set the pattern. When measuring the length of this pattern for the lower body and the sleeve depth take note of the suggested amount of rows to work, this pattern can stretch when blocked creating a longer garment. The sample shown stretched 3 inches between the knitting and the blocking. It is important to note that the measurements provided are for a sample that is wet-blocked, dried and then left to relax for at least 24 hours.
