A very lacey sweater with positive ease, a rather long knit with small size needles. The final effect is worth all the effort, time and patience.
The sweater is knit in the round, bottom-up, with set-in sleeves that are knit separately to ensure perfect fit. It’s bordered with garter and with side garter strips and a picked-up neckband.
Depending wheter you are a tight or a loose knitter, you can choose yarn ranging from Lace/2 ply, through Light Fingering/3 ply, Fingering/4 ply up to Sport/5ply, essential is to get the gauge right.
The lace pattern is easy to follow and requiers some basic lace skills - increasing, decreasing and yarnovers.
A very rewarding knit. Not only is the sweater a perfect wear for a chilly summer evening when you want a little warmth, but also for any day in the year when you put it over a contrasting garment like a turtle neck and enjoy the play of colour.
