Oelberg
With 460m/1510ft above sea level the Oelberg is the highest hill in the Siebengebirge. If you have mastered the steep way to its top on a sunny early summer morning, you will be rewarded with
a beautiful view over the whole Siebengebirge, the hills of the high
Eifel and also the cities Cologne and Bonn.
The Oelberg Socks inspired by this place are the perfect socks for an early morning hiking trip to keep your feet warm and comfy. They are a fast knit out of sport weight yarn and could be knit in various kinds of colorways from solid to self striping and definitely also in variegated colorways.
Size M (52 sts) with the given gauge has 17-18 cm (7 inch) foot circumference. Size L (56 sts) results in a 20-21cm (8inch) circumference. The model in the picture wears the 56 stitch size and has a foot circumference of 24 cm. For a good fit choose a slightly smaller size than your foot measures creating 2-3 cm (1 inch) of negative ease.
