Of Night and Light
The name for this vest comes from one of my favourite poems, “He wishes for the Cloths of Heaven” by W.B. Yeats, which talks of golden and silver light embroidering the blue.
Originally published in Knit Now, Issue 134 (October 2021) – modelled photographs © Practical Publishing and used with permission.
This stranded vest is worked completely in the round from the bottom up with grafted shoulders. Steeks are put in place for the armholes and neck which are reinforced with crochet before cutting. Stitches are then picked up for the ribbing.
The colourwork charts are only provided in coloured chart form and need to be used in conjunction with the written instructions.
Sizing
Designed to fit with 5-10cm (2-4”) positive ease, size shown is medium.
