Off Kilter
Which way is up? Off Kilter is an asymmetrical shawl knit from side to side. The beginning and ending rows of the shawl have a lacy edge and they’re different!
It’s fun to watch it grow as you knit. Beads add seasoning and pizazz.
This design is the second of four patterns in Shawls of Many Shapes, Book Two. Please message me if you have purchased any of the four individually and I will provide you with a discount coupon.
If you look closely the design morphs into a collage of hearts and ends with a long lacy romantic border/edging and beaded picot bind off.
Charts only. Percentage guidelines to make the most out of your precious lace yarn even though the instructions include two sizes.
Gauge is not extremely important in lace knitting, use your own judgment. Most experienced lace knitters have a favorite needle size for lace to get their desired density of fabric. Mine is US# 4(3.5mm) because I can’t get my little finger through the resulting yo stitches. Don’t like loosy goosy.
The design has patterning on both the RS and WS so I would consider it of Medium Difficulty.
