Gauge isn’t super important, since it’s all worsted weight yarn on the same size hook. You can even switch it up and use a larger hook for a more drapy blanket. You’re really just gonna wanna make sure that your panels line up. Blanket is worked in 3 panels which are then sewn together, and then you work the border around the edge. Makes for a great stash busting project!
