Ogawa Socks
26/06/20 I have removed all my patterns, free or for sale, from ravelry’s downloads due to the site staff’s ableist responses to feedback about the accessibility of the new look. The patterns might be reinstated in the future, depending on what happens, but at this point that seems unlikely. Thank you to all who bought and knitted my patterns.
(from pattern) Ogawa means stream or “small river” in Japanese. When I first saw this yarn, the colours reminded me of the stream that runs through the village I live in. I chose a stitch pattern which creates a back and forth effect, like water rippling through reeds, and designed some socks which capture the spirit of that stream.
Constructed cuff down using 2 balls of Regia Color 4 ply. The stitch pattern is achieved through the use of twisted stitches, or it can be cabled.
