OH CANADA
In Celebration of Canada’s 150th Birthday, I have designed these warm and cozy socks featuring a Maple Leaf motif. The motif is charted and uses stranded color-working techniques.
NOTE:
For those who are new to stranded knitting, keep in mind that stranded knitting tends to tighten the fabric. The fabric has less stretch and will seem tighter. You may have to go up a needle size while working the charted motif in order to get a proper fit.

These socks are a heavier worsted weight sock, made from a Wool and Nylon blend yarn that comes from the oldest Woolen Mill in Canada!
Briggs and Little Woolen Mill is located in York Mills, New Brunswick and has been at this location for over 150 years. They are well known for for their high quality wool yarns, that are designed for warmth and durability.
Whether you are ice fishing, relaxing by the fire or working outside in the cold weather, these socks will be durable and fun to wear!
Happy Birthday Canada!
