This happy hat was inspired by my friend Oh Happy Rays’ love of yellow and our love for Pokemon Go team Instinct.

This hat has a couple of easy to memorize and fun to knit pattern sections that give the hat a lovely texture. Any DK (or even worsted) yarn would look great and the texture looks lovely in solid or variegated yarns.

The pattern contains a link to a short tutorial on how to do the twist stitch.
