Oh My! Attack of the Octopi!
Since this is a toy, needle size and yarn weight can easily be changed to what you have available.
This is a great pattern for those of you who hate working with separate pieces and weaving in ends. Despite the eight separate legs, this toy is done with one continuous strand of yarn!
Basic construction: you start by knitting a ball shape, and then switch to knitting a leg from the body to the tip. The leg is “closed” with a crochet seam which brings you back to the body, and a new leg is started. Finally, the base of the toy is crocheted closed with a circle.
