As the weather gets cooler and the leaves turn crisp, it’s the perfect time to break into your yarn stash, grab a pair of needles, and start making some pumpkins! Adorn your house with pumpkins made from some of your favorite handdyed yarns and colorways. Add that little touch of personality throughout your home by choosing yarns you love, your favorite stitch patterns, and colorways that make your heart sing.
Sizes: Small, Large
Finished Measurements: 3” (including stem) x 13 inches circumference (small) ; 4” (including stem) x 17” circumference
Yarn: Knit Picks Stroll Yarn, 90 yards for small, 125 for large. 1 ball of Knit Picks Stroll can make 1 large and 1 small pumpkin in any of the stitch variations
Needles: US size 2 / 3.5 mm 9” circular nee-dles and DPN’s or a long circular in the same size
Gauge: 30 sts x 40 rounds = 4” in stockinette
Note: For this item, you don’t have to match gauge exactly. As long as your gauge isn’t loose to the point that the filling is coming out. Keep in mind, if your gauge isn’t the same, the size of your pumpkins may differ, altering the yardage needed to complete your pumpkin.
Additional Supplies: Stitch markers (optional), cable needle, tapestry needle, scissors, polyfil/stuffing
