Oh My! Sweater
The Oh My sweater is not only “le knit” très chic, but it’s also a true knitters’ masterpiece. The sweater is adorned with sophisticated cables from the neckline to the hem, incorporating multiple techniques throughout the project.
Every stitch is meticulously placed. After the raglan seams, the cables continue seamlessly under the arms, and the sleeve decreases are worked discreetly. The v-neckline is finished with a double-knit trim, giving the sweater a polished, refined look, while the cuffs and hem are more relaxed using basic ribbing that suits the cable pattern.

WHAT YOU NEED
Yarns: 290 (340) 440 (590) 730 g of Filcolana Arwetta (80 % merino, 20 % nylon – 210 m / 230 yds / 50 g), colour natural white (101), and 145 (170) 220 (300) 365 g of Isager Silk Mohair (75 % mohair, 25 % silk – 212 m / 231 yds / 25 g), colour white (E0).
The sweater is worked holding both yarns together.
Needles: 3.5 mm (US4) circular needle and DPNs for the sleeves if you don’t use the magic loop technique. Also 2.5 mm (US1.5) circular needle for cuffs and neckline.
Notions: Cable needle, 8 stitch markers, waste yarn or stitch holders, tapestry needle.
Gauge: 28 sts x 28 rows = 10 cm / 4” in cable st pattern with 3.5 mm (US4) needle.
9 sts x 20 rows cable repeat = approx. 3 cm x 7 cm / 1.25” x 2.75”.
Technique: The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down. First, cast on stitches for the neck, then divide them for the fronts, back, and sleeves, and work the yoke according to the cable charts. The yoke is shaped with raglan and neckline increases until the sleeves are separated from the body. Next, work the body to the hem and finish with ribbing. Then, work the sleeves and work the cuffs in the same way as the hem. Finally, work the neckline band as double-knit.
